What is CrossFit?

“Constantly varied, functional movements executed at high intensity.”

Constantly Varied
The more variety in your workouts, the more your body will develop. Whether your goal is weight loss, increased muscle mass, strength, or all of the above. Variety in exercises, weights, reps, sets, etc., is a key component for your formula for success.

CrossFit workouts are designed to pack a lot of work into a short time frame. This style of training – always pushing yourself harder and faster – is the key to getting incredible results.

Functional Movements
Functional movements are universal motor patterns that mimic human movement in every day life. They are not single-joint movements but rather multi-joint movements. They are safe, develop very powerful and useful core strength, provide tremendous neuro-endocrine response, and are the best cardio and rehab training you can do. Common functional movement exercises include: squats, deadlifts, pushes, pulls, and rotational movements.

CrossFit is a core strength and conditioning program that will help optimize your ten fitness domains:
1. Cardio/Respiratory Endurance
2. Stamina
3. Strength
4. Flexibility
5. Power
6. Speed
7. Coordination
8. Agility
9. Balance
10. Accuracy
